Beautiful Trauma is the seventh studio album by american singer/songwriter P!nk. The album was released on October 13, 2017 through RCA Records.

It was preceded by the lead single "What About Us", released on 10 June 2017

Following the conclusion of The Truth About Love Tour in 2013, P!nk decided to focus on side projects and standalone singles before beginning work on a new album. In 2014, she formed the folk duo You+Me with Dallas Green of City and Colour. They released their debut album, rose ave., in October of that year. In the three years that followed, P!nk recorded and released several standalone songs for various projects, including "Today's the Day" for the thirteenth season of The Ellen DeGeneres Show and "Just Like Fire" from the Alice Through the Looking Glass soundtrack. She also released the single "Setting the World on Fire" with Kenny Chesney from his seventeenth studio album, Cosmic Hallelujah, and "Waterfall" with Sia and Stargate for the latter's debut album. In July 2016, it was announced that P!nk had written "Recovering," the lead single from Céline Dion's forthcoming English language album, in honor of Dion's late husband, René Angélil, who died of cancer earlier that year.

In June 2017, P!nk confirmed that she was working on her seventh studio album.[1] The following month, she confirmed that she was shooting a music video for the lead single of her seventh album.[2] On July 22, she announced that the album's lead single was titled "What About Us" and would be released on August 10, 2017.[3] On August 9, the day before the single's release, P!nk revealed the album artwork and announced that the album was titled Beautiful Trauma and will be released on October 13, 2017.[4]

Jack Antonoff, Shellback, Max Martin, Johnny McDaid, Steve Mac, Julia Michaels, Greg Kurstin, and busbee are all credited as songwriters on the album.[5]
